In all pictures the physical eye sees the same blue, yellow, red, black and white. However, interferences originate from the bordering colour surfaces, dimensions of the borderlines and in the interplay of simple geometrical forms, so that the natural eye sees in a different way than the physical one. The context is important, the determining phenomenon originates in the borderlines.
Jürg Nännis pictures plumb the perception, challenge seeing habits and show the viewers what it means to take consider another perspective in the most true sense of the word, to step back. Knowing what determines your own perception, acknowledging the dimensionality of the world view– a special kind of a visual school!
